Complementary angle are in the ratio of 13:5

Let's consider that the angle be 13x and 5x

We know that,

Sum of complementary angles is 90°.

:\implies\sf 13x + 5x = 90^{\circ}\\\\\\:\implies\sf 18x = 90^{\circ} \\\\\\:\implies\sf x = \cancel\dfrac{90}{18} \\\\\\:\implies\boxed{\frak{\purple{x = 5}}}

Here, we get value of x is 5.

\bigstar Now, finding other two angles:

:\implies\sf 13x \\\\\\:\implies\sf 13 \times 5\\\\\\:\implies\boxed{\frak{\pink{65^{\circ}}}}

\\

:\implies\sf 5x \\\\\\:\implies\sf 5 \times 5\\\\\\:\implies\boxed{\frak{\pink{25^{\circ}}}}

\therefore Required angles are 65° & 25°.

Answer :-

  • The angles are 65° and 25° respectively.

Given :-

  • Complementary angles are in the ratio 13 : 5.

To Find :-

  • Those angles.

Solution :-

Put x in the ratio.

Then angles will be

  • 13x
  • 5x

As we know that

Sum of complementary angles is 90°.

According to question :-

13x + 5x = 90°

→ 18x = 90°

→ x = 90/18

→ x = 5

Put the value of x in the ratio

Now, angles are

  • 13x = 13 × 5 = 65°
  • 5x = 5 × 5 = 25°

Hence, the angles are 65° and 25° respectively.
