Within 20 seconds our skin will burn. Concentrated sulphuric acid will instantly dehydrate the skin leaving only black carbon residue, extremely painful. Diluted sulphuric acid is an irritant but can be easily washed off the skin. If you get concentrated acid on your skin the heat produced when you try to wash it off with water can increase the damage.
