In the above figure, you can clearly understand the reaction between Copper Sulphate (CuSO4) and Iron nail (Fe).

This reaction is given as,

 \large\boldsymbol{Fe + CuSO_4  \longrightarrow FeSO_4 + Cu}

The above reaction is an example of Displacement Reaction.

When Iron nail is immersed in Copper Sulphate solution, as Iron being more reactive it displaces Copper from its salt solution and forms Ferrous Sulphate [Subsequent Salt] .

★ Observation :

The blue colour of Copper Sulphate(CuSO4) solution is changed to light green or pale green.

Silver colour of iron nail(Fe) also changes into reddish-brown colour as coating of Copper is formed on it!
