Given :   | cos⁻¹ x | < π/3

To Find : values of x

Solution:

Principle Range of cos⁻¹ is  [0  , π]

Hence | cos⁻¹ x |  = cos⁻¹ x

cos⁻¹ x   <  π/3

cos⁻¹   (1/2)   =  π/3

cos⁻¹   (√3 / 2)    =  π/6

cos⁻¹    1   =    0

Hence     x  ∈ (1/2 ,  1]

x  ∈ (1/2 ,  1]
