cos A = 0.6

cos A = 6 / 10

cos A = 3 / 5

base / hypotenuse = 3 / 5

Let hieght from angle A be 3 x and hypotenuse be 5 x,

By Pythagoras Theorem ,

= > Hypotenuse² = base² + height²

= > ( 5x ) ² = ( 3x ) ² + height²

= > 25x² - 9x² = height²

= > 16x² = height²

= > ( 4 x ) ² = height²

= > 4x = height

Then,

= > 5 sinA - 3 tanA

= > 5{ height / hypotenuse} - 3{ height / base }

= > 5{ 4x / 5x } - 3{ 4x / 3x }

= > 5{ 4 / 5 } - 3{ 4 / 3}

= > 4 - 4

= > 0
