If cos a =1/2and tan b = 1/✓3 find sin (a+b)

Answer:

sin(a+b)= sin a cos b+ cos a sin b

cos a = 1/2

So, sin a = √(1-1/4)= √(3/4)

then tan b =1/√3

b= 30°

cos b= √3/2, sin b= 1/2

so, sin(a+b)= √3/2*√3/2+1/2*1/2= 1
