{\underline{\boxed{{\rm{ \cos( \theta)  =  \frac{1}{2} }}}}}

 \cos( \theta)  =  \frac{1}{ \sec( \theta) }

This means ,

 \color{red} \: {\underline{\boxed{{\rm{ \sec( \theta)  = 2}}}}}

Now , we have to find the value of

 \cos( \theta)  -  \sec(\theta)

 \frac{1}{2}  -  2

 \frac{1 - 4}{2}  =  \frac{ - 3}{2}

Hope this helps you to resolve your problem !!
