Answer:

cos theta =15/17

Base=15 and hypotenuse=17

By Pythagoras theorem

(AC)²=(AB)²+(BC)²

(17)²=(15)²+(BC)²

289=225+(BC)²

BC=8

SIN theta =P/H

8/17

◈ The Value of \sf sin \theta

\huge\sf\purple{Steps}

We know that,

\sf cos \theta = \dfrac{15}{17} = \dfrac{Base}{Hypothenuse}

\bullet\:\underline{\sf By \ Pythagoras \ Theorem}

\sf Perpendicular = \sqrt{Hypotenuse^2 - Base^2}

\sf P = \sqrt{17^2-15^2}

\sf P = \sqrt{64}

\sf \orange{P = 8}

So now the value of \sf sin \theta is,

\sf sin \theta = \dfrac{Perpendicular}{Hypothenuse}

\sf\red{ sin \theta = \dfrac{8}{17}}
