Given:-

CosØ - 4sinØ = 1 ----------(1)

Let,

SinØ + 4cosØ = x --------(2)

Squaring and adding both the equations,

(CosØ - 4sinØ)²+(SinØ + 4cosØ)² = 1² + x²

Cos²Ø + 16Sin²Ø - 8sinØcosØ + Sin²Ø + 16cos²Ø + 8sinØcosØ = 1 + x²

Cos²Ø + Sin²Ø + 16Sin²Ø + 16Cos²Ø = 1 + x²

1 + 16(Sin²Ø + Cos²Ø) = 1 + x²

1+16 = 1 + x²

x²= 16

x = √16

 x = \pm{4}

SinØ + 4CosØ = \pm{4}
