By using formula cos²α + sin²α = 1
as cosα = √2 therefore (√2)² + sin²α = 1
sinα = 1
putting the values of sin and cos in the eqn
2 x (1)² + (√2)²/1 + √2 = 2 + 2 +√2 = 4√2 Ans.
