If cosA = 3/5, find all other trigonometric ratios.

Answer:

Cos A=3/5=Base/Hypotenuse

let base=3x

and hypotenuse=5x

Applying Pythagoras theoram

H2=P2+B2

(5x)²=P2+(3x) ²

25x²=P2+9x²

P2=25x²-9x²

P2=16x²

Hence, P=√16x

P=4x

Now,

SinA=perpendicular/hypotenuse

=4x/5x=4/5

Tan A=Perpendicular/Base=4x/3x=4/3

Cot A=3/4

Sec A=5/3

Cosec A=5/4
