Answer:

 \cos(a)  =  \frac{4}{5}

 { \sin }^{2} a +  { \cos }^{2} a = 1

therefore

 { \sin }^{2}a = 1 -  \frac{16}{25}

therefore

 \sin(a ) =  \frac{3}{5}

now we know that

 \frac{ \sin(a) }{ \cos(a) }  =  \tan(a)

therefore

 \tan(a)  =  \frac{3}{4}
