Answer:

Given:-

  • cosA+cos^2A=1 .

Find

  • sin^2A+sin^4A=1.

Solution:-

cosA+cos^2A=1.

cosA=1-cos^2A.

L.H.S.

=>sin^2A+sin^4A.

=>(1-sin^2A)+(sin^2A)^2.

=>cosA+(1-sin^2A)^2.

=>cosA+(cos^2A)^2.

=>cosA+cos^4A.

=>1.

Formula used.

  • sin^2A=1-cos^2A.
