IF (COSEC THETA-1 )(COSEC THETA +1)=3 THEN WHAT IS THE VALUE OF TAN THETA SQUARE

lakshmiraja: (cosectheta-1)(cosec theta +1) =3 which implies cosec square theta -1 = 3 since a+b*a-b = a square * b square implies 1/sin square theta -1=3
lakshmiraja: take lcm
lakshmiraja: 1-sin square theta / sin square theta =3
lakshmiraja: 1-sin square theta / sin square theta =3 since 1- sin square theta is cos square theta implies cot square theta=3
lakshmiraja: convert cot square as 1/ tan square=3
lakshmiraja: that gives tan square theta =1/3
