By Using Pythagoras Theorem,

H²=B²+P²

B²=P²-H²

   =3²-5²

   =9-25

   =16

cos ∅ = B/H = 4/5

tan ∅ = P/B= 3/4

Therefore,

cos ∅ + tan ∅  = 4/5 + 3/4

= 31/20
