Cost of 1 kg potatoes is 20 ₹ (Given)

(To find :- Cost of 1/4 kg potatoes)

∴The cost of 1/4 kg potatoes be x.

∴If the the cost of 1 kg potatoes is 20 ₹,

So,the cost of 1/4 kg

of potatoes = {1/20} = {(1/4)/x}

= {1/20} = {0.25/x}

= {(20)×(0.25)} = {(1)×(x)}

= {5} = {x}

∴The cost of 1/4kg potatoes is equal to

5 ₹.
