cost of 1 kg of rice = Rs 30.50 / 5 = Rs 6.1    ----------------------- eq 2

a) cost of 9 kg = 9 × 6.1 = Rs 54.9

b)  from eq 2 , In Rs 6.1 we can buy 1 kg of rice

so in Rs 1 , we can buy =(1/6.1 ) kg

and in Rs 61 , we can buy = (1/6.1) × 61 = 10 kg rice
