If cost of travelling is proportional to the distance covered then this relationship graphically represents

EVALUATION

Let y be cost of travelling and x be the distance covered

Now it is given that cost of travelling is proportional to the distance covered

 \sf{ \therefore \:  \: y \propto \: x}

 \implies \sf{y = mx}

Now m is a positive real number as y and x both are non negative real number

Here m is the rate of travelling per unit distance

Thus from above we get the relationship as

 \sf{y = mx}

Where m is a positive real number

The above equation represents an equation of a Straight line passing through the origin

Hence the given relationship represents an equation of a Straight line passing through the origin
