CP of 20 compass boxes = SP of 25 compass boxes

Let the CP of 1 compass box be ₹1. Then,

So ,

CP = ₹25

SP = ₹20

CP > SP = Loss

Loss = CP - CP

= ₹(25 - 20)

= ₹5

Loss % = Loss/CP × 100

= 5/25 × 100

= 20 %
