tan A= sin /cos = opposite/hypothenus/adjacent/hypotenus

=tan A= opp/adjacent

whereas

cot A =cos / sin

cotA=adjacent/opposite

therefore

cotA=1/tan

 \huge \underline{\sf \mathfrak{ \red{to \:  \:  \: prove}}} :   \\  \\  \\ \cot   \theta =  \frac{1}{ \tan \: θ}

 \\  \\

 \huge \underline{ \underline{ \mathfrak{  \orange{proof }: }}}

as we know that ,

 \large \boxed{ \tanθ =  \frac{ \sinθ}{cos θ}} \sf and \boxed{ \cotθ =  \frac{ \cosθ}{ \sinθ} }

so ,

 \huge \frac{ \cosθ}{ \sinθ} =  \frac{1}{( \frac{ \sinθ}{ \cosθ} )}

 \huge  \sf  \frac{ \cosθ}{ \sinθ} =  \frac{ \cosθ}{sin θ}

 \\  \\

 \huge \therefore \mathfrak{hence \:  \:  \:  \: proved}
