If CP of 4 toffees equals to the S P of 3 toffees , find loss or gain percent.

{\tt{\red{\underline{\underline{\huge{AnSwer:}}}}}}

Let Cp of 1 toffee be Rs.x

Cp of 4 toffees = Rs.4x

Sp of 3 toffees = Cp of 4 toffees

=4x

sp \: of \: 1 \: toffees \:  =  \frac{4x}{3}

Profit(P)=Sp-Cp

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{4x}{3}  - x

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   = \frac{4x - 3x}{3}

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{x}{3}

Now,

p =  \frac{p}{x}  \times 100

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \frac{ \frac{x}{3} }{x}  \times 100

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  =  \frac{x}{3}  \times  \frac{1}{x}  \times 100

  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = \frac{100}{3}

 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  = 33.33

Hence Profit% is 33.33...
