Say, you have a no. AX10^n. A=real number let it has numbers after a certain value.
If we move the decimal value right the obtained is greater than A. So, to keep the number constant it should be divided by 10 (as moving one place after decimal means multiplying given no. by 10) and the division by 10 in the power of 10 will decrease it's power than previous.
Going right: power on 10 decreases
Going left : power on 10 increases.
To keep a given no. constant, we Multiply and divide it with a certain number here that no. is 10 and multiplying dividing by 10 means going left/right in number.
