Well it's my first answer in brainly and you are lucky to be the first one who got my help....jokes aside
KI3 ionises like K+ and 3I-
So, no. of ions, n=3+1=4
Now for dissociation we have,
α= i-1/n-1
Or. 0.8 = i-1/4-1
Or, 0.8*3 = i-1
Or, i-1 = 2.4
So, vant Hoff factor(not cant Hoff),
i = 2.4+1 = 3.4
