Hello,
we indicate with d the diagonal of the square and with L its side.

we know that:
d=L√2=13 cm

with the inverse formula:
L=d/√2=13/√2= cm
rationalize the denominator:
L=13·√2/√2·√2=
L= \frac{13}{ \sqrt{2} }= \frac{13\cdot \sqrt{2} }{ \sqrt{2} \cdot \sqrt{2}}  =\frac{13\cdot \sqrt{2} }{ 4}  =6.5 \sqrt{2}
Then:
L=6.5√2 cm

bye :-)

Diagonal of a square = 13 cm

Let side be a
We know that,
diagonal = a√2
13 = a√2
a = 13/√2
a = 13/√2 × √2/√2
a = 13√2/2
a = 6.5 √2 cm

Therefore,the side of the square is 6.5 √2 cm

Hope it helps
