as square is a rhombus whose diagonals are equal, area of square = 1/2*d square.
if diagonal is doubled then area becomes 1/2*4*d square
hence area will increase 4 times if diagonal is doubled

Then diagonal will be aroot 2
Area : a²
If diagonal becomes 2aroot 2
Then side = 2a
Area : (2a) ² : 4a²
Therefor area will be 4 times if diagonal is doubled
