SOLUTION :

The correct option is (a) : 4/9 .

Given : Digits are chosen from 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Total number of outcomes = 9

Let E = Event of getting a Even  digit

Even digits are = 2, 4, 6, 8

Number of outcome favourable to E = 4

Probability (E) = Number of favourable outcomes / Total number of outcomes

P(E) = 4/9

Hence, the  probability of getting Even digit , P(E) = 4/9
