Hey!

Considering distance covered in 6 minutes is 2km then,

2k = 2000m

6min = 360 seconds

speed will be,

2000m/360s

= 5.56m/s

As per the data given in the question,

We have to determine the value of speed of the object.

From the data,

it is given that,

Distance = 2 Km

Time = 6 minutes.

As here, distance is given in Km while time is given in minutes, but in last we have to determine the speed into m/s.

So, first of all we will convert all the number in cgs unit.

So, distance in meter will be =(2\times 1000) = 2000\:m

Time in second will be =(6 \times 60) = 360\:seconds

As we know that,

Speed = \frac{distance}{time}

So, putting the value of distance and time in above equation,

We will get,

Speed = \frac{2000}{360}\\=\frac{200}{36} = \frac{100}{18} = \frac{50}{9}\: m/sec

Hence, value of speed in m/sec will be \frac{50}{9} \:m/sec.
