First, we need to find the speed.

40m ÷ 8s = 5m/s

Using the formula Speed = Distance ÷ Time, we find that the speed is 5m/s.

The formula for acceleration is speed ÷ time so:

5m/s ÷ 8s = 0.625m/s²

rijwan388: but my answer coming 2.5
MelissaTan: And I'm guessing there aren't any solutions given?
MelissaTan: Also, don't mind me asking but is 2.5 the correct answer?

Here distance =40 m

time =8 s

velocity = distance /time

= 40/8 m/s

= 5m/s

now acceleration = velocity /time

=5/8 m/s^2
