If distance travelled by a train is 495 km in 4 hours 30 minutes, what is its speed in m/s?

Answer:

distance = 495km=495×1000 m

time = 4hr 30 min

=240+30=270min

=270×60 sec

speed= 495×1000/270×60

=30.5m/s
