if distilled water is poor conductor then why it is used in Home inverter for producing electricity​

These lead acid batteries have dilute sulphuric acid as their electrolyte - the conductive solution between the plates of battery. But we pour only water into the inverter because only water is lost form the battery due to a process called gassing. Thus, the water need not be conductive.Jul 27, 2018

The availability of ions is very important to conduct electricity. Distilled water is a pure type of water which does not contain any ions in it. ... These gases dissolve in water to form some kind of acids like carbonic acids which dissociates to give ions. Therefore distilled water does not conduct electricity.
