So , double the edge = 2l

We also know, surface area of cube = 6l^2

So tsa if edge is doubled = 6 (2l)^2

= 6(4)(l^2)

= 24l^2

Taking common, since we need to separate out the original formula of tsa of cube to find out how much is the increase,

4(6l^2).

Therefore, increase in tsa is 4 times.

We also know, volume of cube = l^3

So, volume if edge is doubled = (2l)^3

= 8l^3

Taking common,

8(l^3)

Hence, increase in volume is 8 times.
