if each edge of a cube is double then (i) how many times will it's surface area increase ?

now surface area of cube =6a^2
=6a^2
now edge is doubled=2a
surface area=6(2a)^2
=24a^2
now comparing we get
=24a^2/6a^2
=4
its surface area will increase 4 times
