It's surface area = 6 x²

Now if we double side of the cube we get side as 2x

Surface area = 6 × (2x)²

Surface area = 6 × 4x²

Surface area = 24x²

Ratio = 6x²/ 24x²

Cancel the x²

we get ratio as : 6/24 or 1/4

Therefore , Surface area of the cube will increase by 4 times.
