If each of the side of a rhombus is 17cm and the length of the diagonal bd is 16 cm . find the area of the rhombus.​

Answer:

Side² = (d1/2)²+(d2/2)²

17² = (d1/2)² + (16/2)²

289 = (d1/2)² + 64

d1/2 = root (289-64)

d1 = 2 × root (225) = 2×15 = 30cm

Area = (d1×d2)/2 = (30×16)/2 = 240cm²
