Let each edge of a cube= a unit
Its surface area =6a ^2 sq.unit
New edge = a +50% of a =3a/2 unit
New surface area=6(3a/2)^2=(27a^2)/2 sq.unit
Increase in surface area=(27a^2)/2 -6a^2=(15a^2)/2 sq.unit
% increase in s/area=(15 a^2)×(100)/(2×6a^2)
