If each side of a cube is increased by 50% then find the increase in the surface area of cube

if every side is increase by 50% then sides increase = x + 50% of x........(1)
now the equation in (1) is side increase
there fore,,,,...
side = x + x/2
Surface area =
= 6× (x+x/2)^2
= 6× [x^2 +x^2 + x^2 /2]
= 6× (2x^2 + x^2 /2)
= 12x^2 + 3x^2
= 15x^2 sq units......
