Let the sides be a, b, c

Original perimeter= a+b+c =x

When length of sides are increased by 4cm,

Length of sides are a+4,b+4,c+4

So, new perimeter =a+4+b+4+c+4=a+b+c+12 =x+12

According to the question,

x+12/x=7/5

5(x+12)=7x

5x+60=7x

7x-5x=60

2x=60

x=60/2

.•. x=30 cm

Hope it helps you...
