hey!!!!

3+3+3+3+3+3
= 18cm

Old area:(before doubling)
b×h
Consider the base as 3cm and height as 5 cm
So area=15cm

New area: (after doubling)
b×h
Consider the base 18cm and height 5cm
So area= 90cm

Percentage of area changed:
 \frac{15}{90} \times 100
 = 16.666\%
