if each side of an equilateral triangled is tripled ,then
1/2bh ==> 100%
1/2×3b× 3h =====> increases by 300%.

Hi,
Here's ur answer :-
Original side of triangle = x
Original height of triangle = root 3 /2 x
Area = root 3 /4 x^2
New side of triangle = 3x
New height of triangle = 3roots/2 x
New area = 3 root 3/4 x^2
If we notice carefully then we can see that area increases 3 times. So, overally the area increases by 300%.
