If each side of an isosceles triangle is 3√2 and its base is 8 , then find the area of an

isosceles triangle.​

Answer:

area of ∆= 1/2× base × height

= 1/2× 8 × h

since, height can be find by Pythagoras theorem

h²+ 4²=3√2²

h²=18-16

h²=2

h=√2

so, area of ∆=4×√2

= 4√2unit square
