It's surface area would increase by 4 times and the volume will increase by 8 times because area=6a^2 and V=a^3

If each side of a cube is doubled then its surface area will increase 4 time. In the case of volume
Volume of a  cube= a^3
                             = (2a)^3
                              = 8a^3
Therfore the volume increases 8 times
