If each term of a series in A.P. be multiplied by 5, would the series so obtained be again in A.P. ? Given
reasons for your answer.

AP means that there is always a const difference between two successive terms

let say

1. 2. 3. 4

above series is in AP since the difference is 1

now lets multiply each term by 5

the new series would be

5. 10. 15. 20

The new common difference is 5

Hence the new modified Series is also in AP but with a different COMMON DIFFERENCE
