There will be no affect on the weight of Earth if it's radius gets expanded or it shrinks because Weight is the product of mass and gravity.

if earth somehow expands to a larger radius with no change in mass the wood can affect to the radius of its axis
this is so because its need a particular type of gravitational force
the earth will have no weight of gravity.
