If edge of cube is increased by 25%then find the percentage increase in its surface area

Let the edge of cube be x
Volume of cube = x3
Given edge of cube is increased by 25%, hence its edge becomes (x +x/4) = (5x/4)
New volume of cube = (5x/4)3 = (125x3/64)
Increase in volume = (125x3/64) – x3
= (61 x3/64)
% increase in volume = [(61 x3/64)]/[ x3]  × 100
= 95.3125%
