The force on one of the plates is \frac{60}{7} N. Third option is the right option.

Explanation:

Given:

electric field b/w 2 large plates = 2 N/C

Charges on two plates = 10C and 3C.

               We know,     E = E₁ + E₂

                                     q  = \frac{q_{1} }{2AE_{o}  } + \frac{q_{2} }{2A E_{o}}

                                     2 = \frac{7}{AE_{o} }

                                     AE_{o} = 3.5

Now, force on one of the plates.

                   F_{21} = \frac{q_{1} \times q_{2}  }{2AE_{o} }

                      = \frac{10}{2} \times \frac{2}{3.5}

After solving the above calculation, the answer is given below.

                      = \frac{60}{7} N
