ANSWER:

ELECTRICAL ENERGY = POWER( IN KW ) × TIME ( IN HOURS )

POWER = 100÷1000

E.E = 4 × 100\1000 × 8 { 4 IS HERE BECAUSE 4 BULBS ARE USING ENERGY}

ELECTRICAL ENERGY = 3.2 UNITS / DAY

COST = 3 PER UNIT

= 3.2 × 3 = 9.6

_SO COST IS 9.6 RS PER DAY_

Answer:

The cost for turning on 4 bulbs rated at 100W for 8 hours is 9.6 rupees.

Explanation:

Energy is the ability to do work and is measured in Joules.

Power is the rate at which work is being done or energy is being transferred and is measured in Joules/second.

Electrical Power =Electrical Energy transferred/unit time

So rewriting the equation for energy,

Energy = Power × Time

So Electrical energy = Power(in kW) × Time(in hours)

Electrical energy = 4 bulbs× 100/1000 kW × 8

Electrical energy = 3.2 units/day

Cost per each unit of electricity = 3 rupees

Cost of 3.2 units = 3.2 × 3 = 9.6 rupees.

So the cost for turning on 4 bulbs rated at 100W for 8 hours is 9.6 rupees.
