Answer

K.E per atom=

energy absorbed-bond energy

________________________

no.of atoms in the molecule

As it is not mentioned in the question, assume the molecule is diatomic

Thus,

K.E per atom =4.4 x 10^−19 − 4 x 10−19 /2 = 0.4 x 10^−19/ 2= 2 x 10^−20 j

Hence correct option is (2)

It should be noted that the denominator will be the no. of atoms in the molecule.
