If every family has to collect the water they need every day from the river, the main advantage would be that they would value water tremendously and would use it judiciously but the disadvantage would be that much of the time would be lost in getting water and hence, the efficiency of work would reduce.

• It is fundamentally important that people understand the value of water. Much of the water is lost due to misuse and this has to be stopped in the future as cities are gradually turning dry during summers.

• If every family was given the task of procuring water from the river every day they would understand the value of water and would not let a drop go to waste.

• On the other hand, their efficiency would dwindle down as a large time would be spent on collecting water only.
