explanation —
let height of be 4cm
and base be 2cm
then area =1/2×b×h
= 1/2×2×4
= 4cm sq.
now base and height be doubled
then base = 2×2 = 4cm
height = 4×2 =8cm
then Area = 1/2×4×8 = 16cm sq.
ratio = 4cm sq. /16cmsq.
=1/4
so k=4
