There would be too much of confussion so to avoid this we have a unique standard time eg: we have IST(indian standard time) for india

- To avoid the confusion of time from place to place in a country.
- It must choose the time along one of the meridians centre of the meridians passing through their country.
- This time is called "standard time".
- The advantage of this is that in any country wherever you are, it is same time.
- The standard time will be known to whole world.
